Mutegi Njau

Mutegi Njau, Kenya, is a senior editor with the Royal Media Services, one of the largest and most popular radio and TV stations in Kenya.

Royal Media Services has 13 local vernacular radio stations, two national radio stations, one in English and the other in Swahili. The company’s TV station: Citizen TV is the best rated television station in Kenya.Mutegi Njau is the leading investigative journalist in the station. He doubles up as the in-house training editor and is in charge of journalistic ethics and libel and defamation issues for the company. Mutegi retired from the Nation Media Group in 2005 having worked there for 24 years. He has participated in the Global Integrity project being the reporter for Kenya for two consecutive years. He also took part in ICIJ's Collateral Damage project and wrote the story for the East African region.
