Minna Knus-Galán, Finland, is a reporter at the investigative team MOT at the Finnish Broadcasting Company, Yle.
Her investigations on money laundering, corruption and labor conditions in Bangladesh garment factories have earned several awards. These include a Koura TV-prize and a special award by the Association of Investigative Journalism for her work on the Panama Papers in 2017. She also won Journalist of the Year with the Grand Prize for Journalism 2015, the Anders Chydenius / Freedom of Information Award for investigating tax havens together with ICIJ (Offshore Leaks and LuxLeaks) in 2014, and the Sigma award for Troika Laundromat 2020 in collaboration with OCCRP. Her documentary on the secret business of used garments was nominated for Prix Europa 2021.
She is author of the book "Projekt Panama" (in Swedish) and "Tarkoin Varjeltu" (in Finnish) on the Panama Papers.
Knus-Galán lectures regularly on investigative journalism in Finland and abroad. She is a member of the advisory board of Journalismfund.eu and co-organizer of the conference of investigative journalism in Helsinki. She was the first chair of ICIJ Network Committee (2017-2022) and chair of the Finnish Association of Investigative Journalism, Tutkivat (2009-2013). She is a graduate in journalism from the faculty of communication at the University of Navarre, Spain.
She is fluent in Swedish, Finnish, English, Spanish and has knowledge of French.
