Layers of Privacy on Swiss Bank Accounts

The files behind the Swiss Leaks project provide a rare glimpse inside the secretive world of a Swiss private bank, revealing a number of ways HSBC could help build layers of privacy around a client's wealth. The below graphic gives a sample of how accounts could be set up, from completely open and transparent through to obfuscated behind multiple privacy features, some of which were optional and others which were standard with all accounts.

The information comes from examples within the HSBC client files, and from a report by French authorities detailing their investigation into the data that also came with the leak. Some of the account features below may no longer be available at HSBC.
