Adrian Mogos, Romania, is a freelance journalist and founder of newsromania.net, which he established in 2017.
Since 2019 he has been an accredited researcher at CNSAS (National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives), documenting corruption within the communist judicial system and terrorist attacks and organizations active on Romanian soil during the communist regime.
Mogos received the Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence twice and was a 2016 Milena Jesenská Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. For his journalistic work, Mogos was awarded the CEI-SEEMO Award, the Kurt Schork Award and the special Global Shining Light Award. One of the investigations he has coordinated was included in the UNESCO Global Casebook for Investigative Journalism, and another has received a special commendation from the European Press Prize jury.
In 2022, Mogos was awarded a grant as part of the Digital Rights Programme for Journalists from the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network.
