Jojanneke Spoor is ICIJ’s EU grants coordinator, based in The Hague, Netherlands.
In this role, Jo is responsible for grant management and donor compliance on the "Collaborative Journalism Europe in a Global Context" project. She is also actively engaging with European donors to find additional funding to support ICIJ's cross-border investigative journalism.
Before joining ICIJ, Jo spent more than a decade in the humanitarian aid sector. She worked on program and grant coordination in Angola, Burundi, Jordan, Syria and, most recently, Sudan.
Jo has a master’s degree in journalism and media from the University of Amsterdam and a master’s in cultural anthropology from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
