Marie Gillier was a software developer for ICIJ from 2022 to 2023.
Marie worked with the tech team on building secure and UX friendly platforms to ease collaboration between ICIJ staff, partners and members. Before joining ICIJ, she was working for a tech company offering enterprise search solutions.
Marie has a background in sociology. Before starting a career in tech, she graduated with a master's degree in social sciences focused on East Asia from ENS de Lyon. She worked as an assistant researcher in a Sino-French research lab where she conducted field work on topics related to sex work, women and migration, both in France and in China.
