David Kenner is a reporter and the Middle East coordinator for the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. He was Foreign Policy Magazine’s Middle East bureau chief from 2013 to 2018, where he was based in Beirut and Cairo and reported regularly from Iraq, Jordan, and Turkey.
From 2019 to 2021, he was based in Saudi Arabia as a fellow with the Institute of Current World Affairs, where he reported on political and economic upheaval in the kingdom. His work has been published in The Atlantic, POLITICO Magazine and Slate, among other publications.
