Elza Sandrine Sawadogo, Burkina Faso, has worked as a journalist at L’Economiste du Faso, a leading economic weekly since 2013.

She has worked on numerous ICIJ investigations including Panama Papers and Fatal Extraction.

Sawadogo started her career as a journalist in 2009 after completing studies in English, communications and journalism at the University of Ouagadougou.

She specializes in economic and financial reporting (illicit financial flows, corporate fraud, ill-gotten wealth, among other subjects).

Sawadogo also works with the Thomson Reuters Foundation on economic subjects and enjoys working collaboratively with journalists in the West African region.
