Šarūnas Černiauskas, Lithuania, heads the investigative team at 15min.lt, one of the leading news portals in the country.Černiauskas started his work as an investigative reporter in 2011. In 2015, with his team, he established the first and only investigative unit in Lithuanian online media, which became an official partner of OCCRP. Černiauskas has contributed to numerous cross-border investigations, including ICIJ's Panama Papers and OCCRP's Laundromat.One of his stories, a cross-border investigation into misuse of EU funds by members of the European Parliament was shortlisted for the European Press Prize in 2017. In Lithuania, Černiauskas has received several awards and recently became the first laureate of the Investigative Journalism Prize established by the Vilnius University. The prize was awarded for reviving investigative journalism in Lithuania.
