Simon Martha Mkina, Tanzania, is an award-winning Tanzania investigative journalist, renowned editor, columnist, media trainer and publisher.
He worked - at different capacities - with local, national and international media outlets, including ICIJ, The Continent, Mail & Guardian. He has exposed grand corruption and is a good governance pioneer in his country.
Mkina is courageous, professional and fair to reporting subjects, including very complicated ones. He is well known for his fearlessness in reporting and his ability to access notoriously inaccessible figures and places.
He is a sitting president of the Tanzania Media Practitioners Association. He has exclusively met and interviewed 11 presidents.
