Walid Batrawi, Palestine, is the Director of Projects for BBC Media Action in Palestine, and a trainer/coach with the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism.
Before that he was the Deputy Chief of Party for Internews Network and a project director for the BBC World Service Trust. Batrawi is a multimedia journalist, with experience in television, radio, print and online media with organizations based in the Middle East and around the world. He was a correspondent for Al-Jazeera's English channel, and a correspondent for BBC Arabic Service Radio. He is a past winner of the Lorenzo Natali Prize, from the European Commission and the International Federation of Journalists, for his reporting on human rights, democracy and development in the Middle East. Batrawi has led many local and regional media training workshops and is a member of the International Press Institute, the Committee to Protect Journalists, Investigative Reporters and Editors and the Foreign Press Association.
