Caelainn Barr, United Kingdom, is editor of the Data Projects team at The Guardian in London.

Barr began her career at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism in London, working on investigations into European structural funds and human rights abuses in Ethiopia. She has also worked at The Irish Times.

She took on the role of data journalist at The Guardian in 2015. In 2017, she was appointed the editor of the Data Projects team and, in her role, runs a team of data journalists and programmers working on collaborative enterprise projects.

In 2018, Barr was a key partner on ICIJ’s Implant Files investigation.
She was a NUI Galway fellow at the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism at Columbia University.
