The Truth Left Behind: Inside the kidnapping and murder of Daniel Pearl

The Pearl Project, aided by student journalists at Georgetown University, spent more than three years piecing together the roles of 27 men linked to the 2002 kidnapping and murder of Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street Journal reporter.

The case is a window into issues affecting U.S. foreign policy such as the emergence of a "Punjabi Taliban," the role of Karachi as a safe haven for militants, and the nexus between Pakistani militants and Al Qaeda.
