Susanne Reber, USA, is the co-founder and executive editor of Reveal, a Peabody Award-winning investigative podcast and radio show broadcast on more than 400 public radio stations in the US.Prior to joining The Centre for Investigative Reporting in 2012, Reber formed and led NPR's first investigations unit.
This unit won multiple Peabody Awards, a Polk award, a Robert F. Kennedy Award and others during her tenure. Prior to moving to the U.S., Susanne spent 23 years at the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., where she held various leadership roles, including deputy managing editor of National Radio News and executive producer of CBC's Michener Award-winning Investigative Unit from 2003 to 2009.
She is a co-author of "Starlight Tour: The Last Lonely Night of Neil Stonechild", shortlisted for the 2006 Governor General’s Award in non-fiction.She is also a frequent speaker on investigative reporting and storytelling and has taught investigative journalism at Ryerson University in Toronto and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.She graduated from the University of London with a bachelor's degree in German and French language and literature. She earned her graduate diploma in broadcast journalism from City University London. Susanne is based in Washington DC.
