Daniel Lizárraga, Mexico, is chief of investigations at Mexicanos contra la Corrupción y la Impunidad (Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity). These investigations have been published in influential newspapers, websites, and radio stations in Mexico and internationally.

Lizárraga has nearly three decades of experience as a journalist in print, online and broadcast. He was one of the founders of Animal Político and El Quinto Elemento Lab, a platform for investigative journalists.

His work has been selected for numerous awards including from the García Márquez Foundation, the COLPIN (Latin American Prize). He has also been selected for the German Journalism Award and the Ortega y Gasset Prize in Spain.

Lizárraga is a professor in journalism and public policy at CIDE and at the García Márquez Foundation.
