Petra Blum, Germany, is a reporter with WDR, a German public broadcaster based in Cologne, for which she has participated in a number of cross-border investigations.

In 2015, she was part of the Swiss Leaks investigation, studying secret bank accounts and focusing on tax fraud. During the Panama Papers, Blum was part of the team which unearthed the hidden money of people closely associated with Russia’s head of state. During Paradise Papers, she helped unravel corruption cases in resource-rich countries like the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Blum worked for ICIJ during the Implant Files investigation, which uncovered harm caused by poorly tested medical devices.

She is also a university teacher and a book author. Her 2014 award-winning book about corporate culture provided an in-depth and below-the-surface look into the culture and conduct of multinational companies.
