Simon Bowers, United Kingdom, is investigations editor at Finance Uncovered, a nonprofit organization focused on providing training, support and collaboration to financial and investigative journalists in countries where such work can be difficult. From 2017 to 2020, he was ICIJ's European coordinator and senior reporter.

He has contributed to ICIJ projects including FinCEN Files, Paradise Papers, Panama Papers and Lux Leaks, both as an ICIJ reporter and, previously, as a collaborator while working for The Guardian, where he was employed for 19 years.

Bowers has reported on shell companies, the offshore industry, money laundering, corruption, conflict minerals, tax avoidance and evasion. His reporting has appeared in leading media such as The New York Times, Australian Financial Review, Le Monde, Süddeutsche Zeitung, El Confidencial, OCCRP, The Irish Times, BBC and De Tijd.

He has given a TEDx talk about an ICIJ collaborative investigation into Nike's tax avoidance activities.
